The Individualized Scarves

Mary makes individualized scarves. They can have a saying or just a decorative flower!

The Teddy Bears

Jan and Friends buy up Thrift Store teddy bears and give them a good scrubbing. 

What we ask! :)

​1.       Let folks know about the FREE service. We are volunteers. LTC and Retirement Homes can add more Residents at any time. It's first come, first served. We rely on donations.
 
2.       Let everyone know (including LTC and Retirement Homes) that we are ALWAYS collecting teddy-bears and blankets. Big or small - we love them all. The teddies and small blankets will get washed up by Jan and then re-homed. Bigger blankets will go to the Westview Centre for Women. Like making individualized teddy-bear sized scarves? Let us know!

3.       Offer to be a Friendly Visitor at a Long Term Care or Retirement Home. You will meet truly amazing people who could write a book about their lives. You will also meet people who have lost much of their memory but still value having some company
